When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
Psalm 8:3-4 NIV
If I ponder long enough about the night sky, or any of God’s creation for that matter, I cannot help but sit in awe and wonder. How the stars light up the sky or the beauty of a full moon. As a sci-fi fan I often wonder what lies beyond what my eyes can see. Are there other galaxies far, far away? I have no idea nor am I prepared to rationalize the theological ramifications of such things.
Not only that but I often wonder how a God who created the universe and all that lies within it cares enough about lil ole me? In a world where billions of people live, He knows my name and cares about how I feel. I don’t know about you, but I cannot see the night sky and not consider the one who created it. God bless you.
