In my time with God today I received a much-needed reminder. Our journey is not the end. It’s merely a place in between two points. The beginning of our walk with him is filled with wonder and excitement of a new life. One in which our sins have been forgiven and minds become renewed through the word of God.
As believers in Christ death isn’t the end. We have the hope of coming face to face with the one we’ve loved and served for years upon end. Not to mention seeing our loved ones who have gone on before us. What lay in between the beginning and the end of our life is the journey. A life filled with ups and downs, tears and laughter and yes even moments in the body of Christ when our feelings are hurt, but we cannot remain in that place. There’s so much more of life to live, so much left to enjoy and if we remain in a state of bitterness and anger, we’ll miss the blessings that God has for us.
As I reflect upon my life, I conveyed anger in the previous post. Today it’s a sense of wonder and awe at what God has done. During the most difficult of circumstances a transformation had taken place. As a result, I am no longer the same woman I once was. I can now see that:
- I have more confidence
- My faith is strengthened and unwavering
- I am living the overcoming life
I now understand that painful moments in life are part of the journey, but not the end. I implore you to not give up on the faith-filled life God has for you. One of excitement and adventure. Don’t stop dreaming, hoping and planning new adventures for yourself. A better life is attainable.
