After the previous post, I decided that I needed some time to focus on some much needed self care. It’s an area that’s been lacking lately and there’s no time like the present. Emphasizing both physical and emotional well-being my first step was to begin tackling my health.
After years of having to face grief my health has taken a toll. The loss of my brother and mother over the years has resulted in an unhealthy lifestyle. Now is the time for me to reclaim and restore what has been lost. That being my mental and physical health. I can think of no better way to honor their lives than to begin taking care of myself. I look forward to writing more about it in the future.
With regards to the hydrotherapy I’ve only had this treatment two or three times, but I recommend it to anyone
Today was a lovely day to be outside. I Took full advantage by hanging out at Tivoli Village. Treating myself to a light soup and salad for lunch at the Brio Tuscan Grille. Afterward, I visited a few shops while taking in the surrounding sites.
One of the ways I reconnect with myself is through the arts. Today it was the photography of Mario Basner. His current exhibit includes wonderful images of abandoned buildings in Europe I believe. And while his photography is amazing I find it absolutely astonishing that he can find beauty in an area that has gone unnoticed by so many others.
I concluded my self-care day by treating myself to a lovely bouquet of flowers. Finding them on sale was merely an added bonus to an already wonderful day. A late afternoon with a nap rounded out the day. My lack of caffeine consumption as a requirement both before and after the hydrotherapy treatment had taken its toll. Overall, it was a lovely day. I look forward to tomorrow.
